THE PLOT THICKENS AFTER A BLACK WOMAN IS ELECTED UNION STEWARD

The Youth Services officers et al. (and others) came to Connecticut Juvenile Training School (some on their day off) and voted for a strong black woman to be a union steward. Those people that were diametrically opposed to her being union steward (verbally and behind the scenes) are now singing a new tune ; praising this woman so ALL people can hear it. As they say in the black church when people turn from their evil ways "these people done gone and gots religion"(ebonics added). A black woman is elected union steward and now the Greek Chorus comes out to praise her? Truly the plot thickens at CJTS: management is lining up to shine this woman's boots, while some union stewards wander the hallways of the school looking to shake her hand and proclaim love of black folk. In the period of one week or so, this woman went from "being the tail and is now the head" (biblical phrase). Maybe the jazz singer Dinah Washington sang the song "what a difference a day made" for the strong black woman who is now union steward.
