ASSISTANT UNIT LEADERS ARE AT ODDS ON THE PLANTATION

The incarcerated youth at Connecticut Juvenile Training School are housed on Units. And each Unit has a primary supervisor -Unit Leader- and secondary supervisor called Assistant Unit Leader. Each group supposedly works together in order to have good out comes for residents and staff. However with the new influx of AULs there is tension manifesting itself in the form of back biting and inflated egos. There are rumors of AULS not cooperating with one another ; criticizing work habits, not being supportive , and trying to sabotage work efforts in other Units. How can AULS do this kind of childish stuff without it affecting residents who watch every move of staff??

CJTS is operating like some kind of insane asylum with management not being in control of even the smallest details for day to day operation. Stories posted on this DCF Plantation blog describe the racism, discrimination, favoritism and incompetence running rampant under the leadership of a superintendent who says " I didn't know this was happening" to all problems at that facility. Now this latest problem threatens to undermine YSOs work on Units. For if management does not interact positively, you can damn sure bet that facility is running on osmosis.
