Comrades,
It seems as if all the public pressure finally made former Police Commissioner Robert Copeland resign over calling President Obama a "fucking nigger." I contacted State Representative Matt Ritter who agreed to put a letter together on legislative letter head about Greater Hartford residents opposing the racial remark. Then we were going to have politicians, religious leaders, local people et al. sign the letter-- then send it to officials in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire on Wednesday.
I also called the Town Clerk and left a polite message about activists coming to Wolfeboro if Copeland was still in office this week. I explained the peaceful protest outside their police station was planned to occur within a week or so; people called a posted number for the Town Clerk leaving similar messages. In any event Copeland seems to be out of office but his words hover over the heads of blacks like " the sword of Damocles."
